It has been an awesome learning experience at School of Media and Communication, Pan Atlantic University participating in the Advance Media Management and Writing in a Digital Age Course sponsored by Google.
The various topics addressed by the facilitators have been stimulating along with exchange of ideas with colleagues from various media organisations.
It has been worth all the hours spent despite having to drive as early as 5.30am to beat early morning traffic heading to Lagos.
Cant wait to complete the course to implement some of the ideas I have noted.

Thanks to the session on creating and using a blooger.com account I am back to my long abandoned blog accounts.
I promise to keep updating the blog regularly more that ever before.

PEFTI film Institute is in the search for experienced cartoonists for a new children’s cartoon magazine and a story editor.

Interested cartoonists are required to come with past artwork for interview while the story editor should have a BA in English or BSC in any related field. VACANCIES IN A TRANSPORT JOURNAL

An unnamed successful weekly transport journal based in Lagos state requires the services of an editor and two correspondents, for Abuja and Port Harcourt.

Applicants for the post of editor must be a graduate of Mass communication, Journalism or any of the humanities; must be computer literate with experience in internet surfing, MS Word, Excel etc and must have between eight to ten years experience in a similar position in a media house.

Correspondents must be a graduate of mass communication, journalism or any of the humanities with at least five years cognate experience and must be a practicing journalist based in either Abuja or Port Harcourt.

VACANCIES IN BROADCAST MEDIA

A new media conglomerate in Yola, Adamawa state has vacancies for innovative and creative persons to join the broadcast outfit.

Some of the available positions are Managing Director/CEO with the reference number (Ref MD 01), Director, Finance and Administration (Ref DFA 02), Director, Marketing (Ref DM 03), Director, TV services (Ref DTVS 04) and Director, Radio services (Ref DRS 05).

Applicants for these positions are expected to have not less than ten years cognate experience, a third of which should be at top management position in a reputable broadcast or related organization.

However, an  MD applicant should  have not less than fifteen years cognate experience.

The Director of Finance/Admin and Director of Marketing   are expected to have  a minimum of BSc/HND Accountancy and BSc/HND Marketing/Business Administration/Mass Communication respectively with an MBA as an advantage.
